Bison Up Close Sepia

The signature image of Beautiful Badlands ND and a reminder of a special badlands adventure:
"Bison are always to be considered dangerous, but with time and patience, it is possible to allow them to get close enough for a good close up shot. This one was about 8 feet away. The image was captured while sitting in a pickup and with a telephoto lens.

This sepia photograph of one of the bison which roams free in Theodore Roosevelt National. Park, North Dakota evokes thoughts of days long past when bison roamed the upper Great Plains by the millions! Learn the story of the demise of these powerful, majestic American beasts here: https://wp.me/p8zmWn-4qh
