A large storm system moving in from Montana seemed head right for our camp near Magpie Creek. We hurriedly climbed a hill above our campsite in an attempt to photograph dramatic clouds to the west, but when we arrived at the summit, the storm split and sent rain to the north and to the south of us. As the evening sun shown a golden light over the Magpie Creek Valley beneath us, a vibrant double rainbow appeared to the east. It was a breath stopping moment! No rain, no wet campsite for us!
